Candy Flag Downloads
Do you want to know how you can have Halloween candy as COOL as mine? You're in luck, because I am going to tell you all my secrets for tricking out my Halloween treats.
Take the humble candy stick, for instance. Totally lame, right? I give these out every year and I have to force them into kids' sacks.
To spruce them up a bit and make them halfway desireable I added a simple flag designed in Photoshop, printed and glued on. A much deserved improvement.
I will give out treats that are better, too. Quantity before quality, I always say... maybe. I'm still working on other treat projects so watch for Trick My Treat Part2.
* Thanks to The Perfect Palate for featuring my candy flags!

Now for the bag of Airheads that my husband bought for passing out. BORING. BUT, I popped several into these cute orange gift bags from Michael's (I added some Halloween rub-ons) and the kids will never know that the candy inside is less than awesome. Unfortunately, I just told you. Don't hate me.

I'm in love with those candy flags! Where did you purchase those candy sticks from? I would love to hand those out on Halloween!
ReplyDeleteNearby in Alpine, Utah we have a candy outlet, The Peppermint Place. I bought a box of 16,000 for $8. Okay, maybe it wasn't 16,000. More like 150, but it was still $8. Great deal, eh?
ReplyDeleteI would love the download for the flags. They are so cute.

Ms. Jones, I'm so glad that you like my candy stick flags. I don't have a download for this right now, but I think this is BY FAR my most popular post. It's featured everywhere. I'll have to to a redesign and have it available for download this fall. Check back!

I love these little candy flags! I'm pinning this cuteness to my Halloween board on Pinterest. Halloween is my favorite holiday next to Christmas of course. I would use these as a centerpiece for our annual Halloween party.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you like them! None of the Trick-or-Treaters did. They wanted the candy bars.
DeleteCould you please share which font you used in the "trick or treat" flag?
ReplyDeleteI searched my 800 fonts and the font for 'Trick or" is called 'Love Ya Like A Sister,' and 'Treat' is in a free font called 'Today.'
ReplyDeleteLove your ideas! Definitely going to make the flags this year for my son's Preschool (friends and Teachers, too!). :-)
ReplyDeleteMore info. on how to make the flags would be greatly appreciated. Measurements etc.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I can't wait to get started on these.
